AB-I

AB-I brings together four decennia of Coeckelberghs' artistic practice. The main core of the artist's oeuvre comprises paintings, along with sculptural work and installations. This monograph shows the evolution over time in the use of materials, means, techniques and forms, and of one of the core questions of Coeckelbergh's practice: a research on the concept of space in art, whether it is expressed in a two or three-dimensional way, or in a four-dimensional way, physically and mentally.

AB-I brengt vier decennia van Coeckelberghs' artistieke praktijk samen. De belangrijkste kern van het oeuvre van de kunstenaar bestaat uit schilderijen, sculpturaal werk en installaties. Deze monografie toont de evolutie in de tijd in het gebruik van materialen, middelen, technieken en vormen, en van een van de kernvragen van Coeckelberghs praktijk: een onderzoek naar het concept van ruimte in de kunst, of dat nu wordt uitgedrukt in een twee- of drie- dimensionale manier, of op een vierdimensionale manier, fysiek en mentaal.
